Election day is coming up in S Korea. June 4th. It is a national holiday so citizens
have all day to vote for whomever they choose. Back home, you would either have to
run to the voting booth before work or run there after work. Either way, you were running to
make sure you cast your vote. Elections
bring out propaganda, right? So every morning at 5am, there are trucks with
loud speakers yelling out how wonderful their candidate is and why we should
vote for them. Since I am a visitor and have no voting rights here, I think
only citizens should hear these early morning cries. Short term workers are in
groups on every corner, with their candidate’s oh-so honest face on it.
They bow in unison as the buses pass by.
Vote for me, please!
Vote for me, please!
