Watching people eat and socialize with each other through restaurant windows, eating and laughing together, it makes me feel extra lonely here sometimes.
Living here has reconfirmed for me the necessity of having a community that really cares about you.
The isolation is so deep and endless that it can drive you crazy. Ultimately this is one of the main reasons for me to leave Korea. I will miss the affordable healthcare, the clean and efficient transportation system, the lovely mountains and my cute and sweet students. But everyone needs a community to be shown love, care and consideration.
