What color is it? Lesson, grade 3

 

Great color lesson. 

Paper put into eight parts and we gave the students three minutes to draw as many items of that color that they could imagine. We started with red and ended with brown. The clock is on the large monitor. At the two minute mark, we pull up google items of that specific color to assist the students with their list. 

Right after the one second mark, at the end of each color, I yell, "what is the next color? Pick up the crayon aaaaannnnnddd go!". So eight colors take about 24 minutes total, before reconfirming the activity at the end. 

Great lesson and the students were 100% engaged and creative.
