Hello? Hello? Can you hear me now?

September 2015

My cellphone has a glitch in it.  SOB.
The battery cannot charge anymore. So I asked my co teacher where I could get it fixed or get another portable battery charger. I swear she lives a sheltered life. She said I could get it pretty much anywhere because it is very common. YEAH RIGHT. So I had her and her husband drop me off downtown. Went to two places , by myself, and was able to decipher that I could ONLY get it fixed (or get another charger) at the Samsung service center. REALLY?

So I called my chingu Hillary and she looked up the location on her phone. The Samsung service center is in Suncheon, across the street from the Outback Steakhouse. Soooooooooo....I took a bus to the town next door, got off at the right stop. Then I walked a quarter mile to the steakhouse. It was right across the street from the steakhouse like Hillary said. YAY!! SO I walked up and down the green overpass and walked into the building. YAY! The young kid who greeted me spoke English! YAY! Sooooooooo.....he knew enough English to tell me that the service center closes at 6pm. I got there at 6:15pm. REALLY????!?!?!??!

SIGH.
This has to be the ONLY place in the entire country that closed early. The young kid even told me that Samsung service centers all over the country close at 6pm. REALLY KOREA?
SIGH.

So I took the bus back to my town and will try again tomorrow.
This is my space on the overcrowded busride home. I was almost giving the bus driver a lap dance.
OH KOREA.
