911 (119) is not a joke in your town?

I am from a country that has extremely high gun violence. For that reason alone, I feel safer in South Korea. The gun violence here is basically nonexistent. There are other crimes of course but I feel much safer walking down the street here than I do in my home country. I am grateful for the reprieve from young men being shot down unnecessarily by the police, school massacres and other senseless acts of gun violence.
