Solo teaching of Englishee summer camp 2026, last summer camp. We borrowed two students from Teacher Lee's camp for low level students. So we had six children!!
Last summer we had eleven, now only four. Ugh!!
But all six students had a great time, so did the Korean teacher.
Ha ha! She said her two low level boys were super interested in English after having sooo much fun at my solo camp!! Woooohooo!
Sidenote- I used papago for everything after, "Good morning, students! How are you today?"
(also- I KNOW I missed #7! ha ha)
Since school is out and the cafeteria is CLOSED until summer's end... my daily lunch for this week will be convenience store food. Actually, this prepped food usually tastes pretty good. ha ha. Also, just to confirm, public school teachers DO pay monthly for our school meals. Thank goodness the students don't have to pay for lunch.
After Friday, I travel home and can eat my own "real" food.
Wooooohoooooo!!!! Can't wait!!
In a country where foreigners are generally either ignored or tolerated.
It is nice to be "seen" by another kind teacher. I have taught with her for over five years and she has lots of love for her children. This letter is better than any fake approval from any school leadership.
The main reason I have remained in South Korea for so many years, is because of the lovely students and how freely they share love and sweet hearts with me. My sweet student wrote this letter (with the help of a translator app) for me. Children are the same all over the world, innocent and full of love, until we teach them otherwise.
