This Sunday morning, I woke up at 5:30 am so I could walk down to
the river while everything was still and peaceful. I wanted the solitude that
only an early morning sunrise can bring.

Life view
I view life as a journey. There will be good and bad times, lumps
and bumps.
Learn to laugh at your self and life and
NEVER GIVE IN or UP.
Prayers and laughter help a lot.
Hanging out in Gwangju with other newbies
Last weekend was fun. About nine "newbies" (new english
teachers) met up in a central city, Gwangju, to hang out and have fun. We
window shopped at Art Street, went to the movies and sang badly at a karaoke
bar. My roomie, Aretha, and I shared a hot melted chocolate brownie that was sooooo
delicious.
Rush hour
Rush hour in my town is relatively calm.
The majority of school age children take public transportation so the buses are
very crowded during early morning and late afternoon. It is the same all over
the world. Adults go to work and send their children to school to learn and
grow.
We are all more alike than we think.
Close to heaven
My secondary school is just twenty minutes away from downtown
Gwangyang but is very rural. There are rice fields, farmers and breath-taking
mountains. The clouds are so low, it feels very close to heaven.
Take a look.
